As some people know (and others won't be surprised to discover),
I'm one of those strange types who keeps a
list of favourite words. The list you see here is something I started many,
many years ago. It will always
be growing. This is the latest revision, as of 21 Jan. 2006.
I have several different criteria for putting a word on
my list. Sometimes, I simply like how the word looks;
othertimes, I like how it sounds out loud. Or it could be that the definition
is something that I like.
Some words are cool because the sound of them is a good match for what they
actually mean. And then
there are some words on the list for a combination of these various criteria.
